Irregardless Café in the Hillsborough St District is a Raleigh favorite that has been serving the community since 1975. Known for its farm-to-table approach and gluten-free and vegetarian-friendly menu, is open on Thanksgiving Day with a special $60 prix fixe menu designed for all to enjoy (traditional or plant-based).

Choice of one dish for each of three courses with options such as butternut squash soup, sweet potato falafel, turkey platter, braised short rib, vegan moussaka and a seasonal trio dessert. Irregardless is the perfect choice for those range of dietary requirements in their Thanksgiving party.

2. Margaux’s Restaurant (North Raleigh)

Located in North Raleigh, Margaux’s Restaurant is known for its creative cuisine, combining French, Asian, and Southern flavors. Margaux’offers a special Thanksgiving Day 3-course prix fixe menu including traditional and modern twists on the holiday meal. They also have many gluten free and vegetarian options available.

Enjoy traditional options like herb roasted turkey and roasted pork tenderloin, or more untraditional like antelope and maitake mushroom empanadas, and tamari maple glazed tempura fried chicken and waffles Desserts include banana pudding, s’mores creme brulee, and pumpkin cheesecake.

3. Peck & Plume (Downtown Cary)

One of our favorite restaurants in Cary, Peck & Plume, located inside the boutique Mayton Inn on the edge of Downtown Cary Park, will be hosting a Thanksgiving Lunch Buffet this year. Guests can look forward to a delicious spread of holiday favorites crafted by Chef Greg Gettles, who recently joined from the 5-star Umstead Hotel. (I LOVE their seasonal shrimp and grits!)

The menu will feature highlights such as Chef-Carved Roasted Turkey, Herb-Roasted Salmon, Pimento Deviled Eggs, Traditional Stuffing, Whipped Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, and a Colossal Dessert Display.

With its inviting outdoor patio and beautifully designed interior — complete with that signature red cardinal wallpaper — Peck & Plume offers a sophisticated yet homegrown atmosphere perfect for a memorable Thanksgiving meal.

4. Crossroads Chapel Hill at the Carolina Inn (Chapel Hill)

Note: No details for 2025 Thanksgiving meal has been announced yet. We will update accordingly when they do!

A historic spot in Chapel Hill, The Carolina Inn offers a grand setting for a Thanksgiving meal sourced from seasonal items across North Carolina.

This unique Block & Cellar” festive feast at their Crossroads Chapel Hill restaurant will be presented in a series of courses on grazing boards including charcuterie, salads, root vegetables, glazed roasted turkey breast and all the fixin’s and finished with a bruleed pumpkin tart.

I love how each course is paired with a crafted wine or spirit, offering a more elevated holiday dining experience.  It’s also a family style meal that will be shared amongst a community table, so it is perfect for those social creatures who relish the opportunity to socialize with both new and old friends in a relaxed and intimate environment.

Make sure to book in advance, as the Carolina Inn is a popular choice for holiday meals.  It’s the most expensive of the feasts in this restaurant open for thanksgiving list, but bear in mind, alcohol is included, where it isn’t in any other of the places mentioned.

5. Capital Grille (North Hills Raleigh)

Located in North Hills, Capital Grille‘s thanksgiving dinner is another local’s favorite. This fine-dining steakhouse is known for its impeccable service and dry-aged steaks.

I cannot find any information for 2025’s Thansgiving menus, but you can make a Thanksgiving reservation, so it is happening! I’ll update once they stop being so secretive and share the details with the world!

On previous Thanksgivings, they have offered a prix fixe menu that includes traditional Thanksgiving dishes like slow-roasted turkey with brioche sage stuffing and gravy, French green beans with Marcona almonds, and cranberry-pear chutney. Pumpkin cheesecake is an additional $12.

For those who want a more upscale holiday meal, Capital Grille provides that elegant and refined atmosphere you’ll enjoy.

6. Angus Barn (Raleigh)

There is no place in Raleigh for Thanksgiving dinner and holiday celebrations quite like the Angus Barn. This legendary steakhouse in Raleigh is famed for generous portions and rustic, upscale ambiance.

It’s was so popular that Thanksgiving dinner booked out a year in advance, but this year have changed their policy so that for 2025, you can only book up to 120 days in advance. We miraculously were able to reserve a table for December when Craig’s parents are here. It wont be for Thanksgiving but we’ll get to experience this iconic restaurant.

Another reason Angus Barn is such a holiday favorite in Raleigh is its stunning, elaborate decorations. Every room in the 650-seat restaurant is decked out from floor to ceiling, each with its own unique Christmas tree, creating a festive atmosphere that guests look forward to experiencing year after year. 7. Sullivan’s Steakhouse (Downtown Raleigh)

A favorite amongst steak lovers, Sullivan’s Steakhouse is in the Glenwood South district and offers a lively atmosphere for Thanksgiving. They will have a three-course traditional Thanksgiving dinner, including Turkey and all the trimmings. I like the sound of their roasted Brussel sprouts with applewood smoked bacon, and New York style cheesecake with pumpkin anglaise.

They’ll also have their menu full of signature items. So, now’s the perfect time to swap out the turkey for their signature steaks for which they are very well known. Sullivan’s is a great spot for those looking for a more contemporary, energetic vibe for their holiday meal.

 8. The Willard Rooftop (Downtown Raleigh)

For a Thanksgiving meal with stunning views of downtown Raleigh, The Willard Rooftop is a fantastic choice. It’s one of our favorite rooftop bar views and hotels in Raleigh with a rooftop.

Located atop the AC Hotel, this modern rooftop bar and restaurant will be offering a Thanksgiving buffet. Indulge in ham and turkey carving stations, honey-cinnamon roasted sweet potatoes, cornbread stuffing, and more while taking in the city skyline, making it a memorable setting for a holiday celebration. Football fans won’t miss a play; catch the 1pm and 4pm games in our ballroom while you enjoy your feast.

9. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar (Raleigh)

Fleming’s, located at Crabtree Valley Mall, is known for its prime steaks and an extensive wine list. On Thanksgiving, Fleming’s a 2-Course Menu featuring your choice of Filet Mignon, USDA Prime Bone-In Ribeye, or traditional Mixed-Herb Roasted Turkey Breast. Begin with a starter, then pair your entrée with savory housemade stuffing and shareable sides including mashed potatoes, green beans with apricots and onions and cinnamon orange cranberry sauce.

In addition to traditional turkey, you can also opt for one of their expertly cooked steaks, making it an excellent choice for those who want both classic and non-traditional options.

10. Rey’s Restaurant (West Raleigh)

Rey’s Restaurant is a hidden gem in Raleigh (on the border of Cary), offering an upscale dining experience with a Creole and French flair. If you want to transport yourself to New Orleans through food, Rey’s is the place.

Known for their steaks and seafood, Rey’s typically offers a special Thanksgiving menu that includes turkey, stuffing, and seasonal sides alongside some of their signature dishes like shrimp and grits or steak frites. They have not released their Thanksgiving offerings for 2024 yet.

The elegant yet cozy ambiance makes it an ideal spot for a special holiday meal. I really like the look of their Voodoo Lounge with craft cocktails. Be sure to pop in before the feast.

11. Il Falo (Brier Creek, Raleigh)

This Thanksgiving in Raleigh, Il Falo will have a thanksgiving buffet in the Westin Raleigh Durham’s elegant Grand Ballroom. Celebrate Autumn bounty with classic roasted turkey carving station, baked sweet potato souffle with toasted meringue, crispy brussel sprouts, kale salad, baked apple crumble with bourbon caramel, pumpkin spiced donuts and more!

Located inside the Marriott Crabtree Hotel near Crabtree Valley Mall, Braise is an upscale American restaurant that focuses on seasonal ingredients and creative dishes.

For Thanksgiving, Braise will have a lavish buffet featuring soups and salads, deviled eggs, and artisan cheese; fixin’s like smoked cheddar mac and cheese, and honey ginger sweet potato; a carving station with beef, smoked turkey and roasted ham; and a range of sweets including sweet potato pie and pumpkin cheesecake.

The cozy yet elegant setting makes it a wonderful choice for those wanting a more intimate holiday meal with lots of options without leaving the city. Prepare to leave more than full.

13. Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club (Durham)

Enjoy an elegant Thanksgiving buffet experience in the Presidents Ballroom and Foyer of the Washington Duke Inn. We have experienced an afternoon tea here and can speak to its sophisticated design and tasty food.

The buffet will include choices such as artisan charcuterie, smoked fish, roasted apple and butternut squash bisque, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, herb roasted turkey, prime rib, and an unbelievable array of pies and other desserts! This Thanksgiving buffet is pure indulgence!

Situated in the stylish boutique Durham Hotel, The Restaurant at The Durham is a chic dining spot known for its farm-fresh, locally sourced cuisine.

Nothing has been announced yet for Thanksgiving 2025, but last year they had salad followed up by sweet tea-sorghum brined North Carolina black heritage turkey, roasted ham, fixin’s like mashed Potatoes, caramelized brussel sprouts with bacon, maple, and malt vinegar, and of course desserts TBD.

With a focus on sustainability and Southern flavors, this is a top choice for a refined yet warm holiday dining experience.

15. Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille (Raleigh)

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, located in North Raleigh, is a modern steakhouse renowned for its prime cuts of meat and extensive wine list.

On Thanksgiving, Perry’s offers a prix fixe menu that includes classic Thanksgiving options like roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and cranberry relish, as well as their famous steaks for those who want a non-traditional meal. Located just outside of Raleigh in Garner, Angie’s Restaurant is known for its community-oriented spirit. I could not find information on this via Angie’s site or social channels, but a follower said they love going there every year as Angie’s offers a full traditional Thanksgiving meal for free, serving anyone who wants to come by.

It’s a fantastic option for those looking for a welcoming and generous experience. I’d reach out to Angie’s closer to Thanksgiving to enquire what it entails.

17. Bob Evans (Brier Creek)

Although a chain, it came recommended from our community as a good option for a simple, hearty, and easy Thanksgiving dinner. Bob Evans offers a casual, family-friendly atmosphere, perfect for a more laid-back Thanksgiving meal.

They serve a homestyle turkey dinner with all the traditional sides. You don’t need a reservation, and you can also check on Open Table for any last-minute availability.

Sophie’s Bar & Grill in Cary will have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and lunch. No full details have been given except to expect a turkey and their year favorites!

Sophie’s Bar & Grill brings family recipes from Bulgaria to Cary in an elevated fine dining fashion. They have full bar, handmade cocktails and local produce from the local farmers markets where possible. They have a large dining space, so can cater to larger Thanksgiving parties!

Thanksgiving Takeouts and Holiday Pies

20. Figulina

We experienced dinner at Figulina for the first time last night, and I can tell you; you are in for a Thanksgiving treat when you order their Thanksgiving takeaway. I found it at a dining experience sitting very close to the 5-star Heron’s at the Umstead Hotel & Spa.

For their Thanksgiving takeaway they are offering turkey roulade with fennel and focaccia stuffing, smashed beets with whipped ricotta (I had this with sweet potato, and it was sensational!!), autumnal lasagnas, pumpkin spiced tiramisu and more!

Thanksgiving bundles include a choice of one main, a choice of 3 sides, and a pumpkin spice tiramisu.

21 Sam Jones BBQ (Raleigh)

One of our favorite BBQ joints in Raleigh, Sam Jones BBQ is taking the stress out of Thanksgiving with their take out meal packages. Be sure to place your orders before Nov 22 (you’ve got plenty of time t decide) and you can pick up on Wednesday Nov 26 between 11am – 4pm.

Their full meal will feed 8-10 people and comes at a good price for $148.99 The thanksgiving meal includes:

22. The Pit Authentic BBQ (Raleigh)

If you’re looking for a Southern twist on Thanksgiving dinner, The Pit Authentic BBQ in the Warehouse District of Raleigh is a top choice.

Known for its legendary whole-hog, pit-cooked barbecue, The Pit often offers a 3-course Thanksgiving menu with a variety of servings (i.e., all choices) for each course. Think Whole-Hog Barbecue, sweet potato casserole, macaroni and cheese, and everyone’s favorite pumpkin pie and pecan pie.

Right now, for 2025, they seem to be doing take-out packages only, either a $55 per person meal with meats, fixins and pie, or an a la carte take-out menu to order from.

Local favorite, the Poppyseed Market, is offering a take out Thanksgiving dinner package. The Thanksgiving Dinner Menu features a full feast for six, including Free-Range Herb Roasted Turkey Breast, Traditional Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Cranberry Relish, and Parker House Rolls.

Kababish is a delicious Indian and Pakistani restaurant in Cary. If you want a Thanksgiving dinner with a bit of spice and plenty of flavor then put in your order now for their annual Masala Turkey!
