We had lunch recently at the new taco spot in North Hills, @VelvetTaco. Enjoyed their unique creations.
Popular choices are the:
* Bacon Smash Burger (tasted just like a burger) * Slow-Roasted Angus Brisket
* Grilled Salmon (cooked perfectly)
* Chicken & waffle
* Quesa birria.
Really liked the unique Red curry coconut queso (GF). Definitely check that out.
NOTE: Gluten-free taco options available.
They are BIG tacos, and 2 tacos + queso & chips is super filling enough, and I (Craig) am a big eater!
They also have bowls. And a kids menu.
Nice outdoor patio area to enjoy the warm weather. Indoor seating also. Yes, they have margaritas.
Overall, a unique & funky fast-casual setting.

The annual fundraising ball—this year’s beautiful Hope in Bloom floral theme—honors the legacy of Reese Ward, who lost his life to melanoma.
The foundation’s mission is to support cancer research, ensure no patient or family walks this journey alone, and carry forward Reese’s belief in building things that matter. @reesewardfoundation
It was a special night of live and silent auctions, raffles, great food, a very entertaining magician (still wondering how that orange juice appeared?), mingling, and dancing.
So good to spend time with our friends at @raleighisgrowing ( @socialsquadpr )—and an honor to support such an important local mission.
