It’s a good place to stay for those who want to be close to the action. We stayed near here and thought it was an ideal location for exploring.

It has the most stunning ocean views from all living areas and an outdoor deck, which has a seating area, a Tiki Bar, and a gas grill – the perfect spot to soak up golden hour whilst cooking some NC BBQ.

This oceanside beach rental in Kitty Hawk is another popular home for those traveling in a large group.

It offers plenty of amenities to make everyone feel comfortable, such as a large and spacious open-plan living area, an outdoor basketball net to throw some hoops in, a private outdoor swimming pool with plenty of lounge chairs and floats, a pool table, a ping pong table, surfboards, and a hot tub. What we love about this property is that you are just steps away from the beach. While it does have a pool, it’s not big enough to do many laps in, so being within walking distance of the beach is perfect!

For visitors to the Outer Banks who enjoy the serene sound of the waves lulling them to sleep, you won’t get much closer to the beach than on this beachside home.

The home is a renovated 1935 cottage with a wooden wraparound deck, overlooking the ocean. It has a lovely hammock and BBQ on the deck, perfect for soaking in those ocean vistas.

The wonderful thing about staying in this cottage is that you get the most beautiful sunset views. Although kitted out with all the amenities you would need, this vacation rental is very affordable, especially if you’re traveling as a group.

Like Kitty Hawk, Nags Head is centrally located close to many of the Outer Banks attractions, restaurants, and amenities. This is a good place for those who want access to both Roanoke Island and the southern part of the Outer Banks. We stayed here during our winter vacation to the Outer Banks and loved it.

It was renovated back in 2023, so everything is spotless and well-maintained. It has a lovely fenced yard with an outdoor pool, which is located steps away from the beach.

Its quiet location and spacious layout, with several balconies and porches, make it the perfect place to stay for families and large groups. It also has a kiddie pool with numerous decks, and if you’re visiting in the winter, there are gas fireplaces that you can light and create a cozy ambiance.

Kill Devil Hills

We loved the Kill Devil Hills beach – it felt much quieter than the other Outer Banks beaches.

It’s a good location if you want to explore more of the Northern part of the Outer Banks, while still being close to Jockey’s Ridge State Park and other central attractions and restaurants.
