1. Sip a warm drink at Lucky Tree Cafe

Start your cozy Hillsborough Street adventure with a visit to Lucky Tree Café & Market, a locally loved coffee shop with an artistic vibe.

Lucky Tree uses Fair-Trade, Organic Coffee Beans. It offers other warming and delicious drinks like my personal favorite, the coco mocha nut – a uniquely lucky kinda drink.

We absolutely love the NC State band at the women’s basketball – they are filled with an inspirational zest for the pack and for life! And there is also the Where’s Wally vibes going on!

During the winter the Wolfpack are also putting on shows worth watching in gymnastics and wrestling. We attended a wrestling meet with Craig’ parents when they visited and really enjoyed the experience.

The winter show (February 6 – 22, 2026) for Raleigh Little Theatre is Moonlight and Magnolias, which is set in 1939 Hollywood. It’s a story about legendary producer, David O. Selznick, who shut down production of his new epic, Gone with the Wind, because something’s not right with the script. With the help of screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming, the three men labor over five frenzied days to fix the screenplay of one of the most beloved films of all time.
