Staying in one of our Outer Banks vacation rentals is the way to go! We recently visited the OBX and stayed in a hotel, but the hotel scene is limited here and this destination is more suited to vacation rentals!
By using VRBO or other short term rental companies on your OBX vacation you get access to a full kitchen (saving you money on eating out at OBX restaurants three times per day), separate bedrooms and privacy (perfect for families), a living room, a washer and dryer, the chance to stay in nice neighborhoods and many of the comforts of a home-away-from-home!
AND, considering it is suggested we still social distance, a vacation rental can be a great way to isolate yourself during your beach getaway compared to staying in a hotel with many others!

Like Kitty Hawk, Nags Head is close to many of the Outer Banks attractions, restaurants and amenities. This is a good place for those who want to access to Roanoke Island and both the southern part of the Outer Banks and the northern is it is quite central to both.
