Modern Indian
This modern Indian eatery will transport your taste buds through India’s many regions with aromatic curries, sizzling tandoori dishes, and handcrafted cocktails. Perfect for sharing! We think it’s some of the best Indian food in the Triangle. The menu choices are huge with a large selection of vegan and vegetarian options to suit all preferences. Consider ordering the lamb rogan josh or a Goat Chettinad, followed up with a creamy pistachio kulfi for dessert! It’s a must to try one of their colorful and creative Indian style cocktails.

A great date meal will start with a fresh serving of guacamole, followed by yummy Birriamania tacos, Big Bad Wolf Burrito topped with mole sauce, and paired with a spicy blood orange margarita. Now, do you choose creme caramel, tres leches, or a flan for dessert? You’re on a date… share both.
Lobera also has some great $10 lunch deals, so why not make it a daytime date. Or consider a weekend brunch with a serving of Tres Leches French Toast or huevos con Chorizo (also great prices)! We had a lovely dinner date here before attending a ComedyWorx show just down the road.

Artsy, creative vibes with delicious lattes and a beautiful setting for deep convos. Sink into the couches with a coco mocha nut, or a chai latte and a moist berry muffin. Lucky Tree is one of our favorite coffee shops in Raleigh for its cozy, artistic vibes, unique drinks, and delicious treats (all gluten-free and some are vegan!). Wake N Bakery

Talk about low-key. Wake N Bake coffee shop and bakery may be a fun adventure date for long-term couples, or those testing the connection. This Raleigh bakery with a difference specializes in hemp-infused products, including naturally derived Delta-9 THC (all in compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill’s federal legal limit of 0.3%.) Its mission is to be an all-inclusive joint that fosters calm, enhances well-being, and spreads love and good vibes.

Hemp-infused products
You can choose from drinks & freshly baked goodies, all clearly labeled with THC and CBD levels. Be sure to know your limits – and if not, ask, the staff will help you take it easy – then relax into a comfy chair and enjoy those deep conversations and possible giggles.

Explore art together

Gregg Museum + Coffee | Lunch Date

For a simple and meaningful way to connect, stroll through inspiring exhibits and then chat over coffee at a nearby café (or lunch or afternoon drink). The Gregg Museum of Art & Design is a bit of a hidden gem on the NC State campus. Opened in 2017, the Gregg is a free collecting and exhibiting museum with more than 54,000 objects in its collection and is one of the top museums in Raleigh.

From 19th century Japanese color woodblock prints to antique North Carolina quilts, their objects span cultures, disciplines, and designs. They also have the most gorgeous magnolia tree in the front garden – snap a romantic selfie and pretend that stunning canopy is a mistletoe!

Red Line Paint & Sip Therapy

Love painting and can push your date back to Monday? Enjoy a creative night out with your partner (or your Galentine’s!). On Monday nights (8 pm), friends and couples gather for a fun and relaxing paint and sip therapy event. I mean, understanding your partner’s artistic prowess is essential for a long-term relationship, right?
I love the casual vibes of Red Line and their large selection of 24 rotating draft beers, wines by the glass, and plenty of choices with their to-go selections (that you can drink in store!)

We stopped in for a drink at Red Line last year during Valentine’s Week, and it had the love vibe going with flowers on the table and sweet-smelling candles burning.
