It’s NFL season, one of my favorite seasons and it’s time to start dusting off your jersey and look for local watch parties to cheer on your favorite team with fellow supporters. Raleigh residents love their sports, and we’re lucky to have several cool sports bars to catch a game.
Raleigh’s diverse mix means you’ll likely find a crowd cheering for almost every NFL team in the league. Whether you’re a local Panthers fan, a Steelers fan, or Eagles fan, or Saints fan, there are plenty of places in Raleigh to watch NFL games no matter who you’re cheering on.
From my research, not every NFL team has an active supporters group based in the Raleigh area, so to help you find your tribe, I’ve listed all the celebrated teams and their watch party locations below in this guide. But let me know if you’re aware of others? I have also listed my favorite sports bars in general for any sports that will also show the games!
Pittsburgh Steelers fans
There are a lot of Steelers fans in Raleigh and Sammy’s Tap & Grill on Avent Ferry Rd near NC State is the home of the Burgh Club in Raleigh. It has a huge number of TVs and seats for all the games in the main bar area, and in the outdoor enclosed porch area. Plus, individual TVs at each booth. If you’re looking for your Steelers tribe, you’ll find them here. Great pub style food too, with drink and food specials!
I have it on good authority that Steelers fans also go to the Overtime Sports Pub about 15-minutes east of downtown Raleigh. It’s not an official hang out pub, but it has a lot of Steelers memorabilia on the wall, and it’s said to be a boisterous spot on NFL Sundays and features hearty pub food.
Hangout Bar and Grill is also known for being a hang out spot for Steeler fans. It has new 75″ flat screen tv’s surrounding the walls, plus a separate room with TVs to watch the game from. The Pittsburgh Steelers Fan Club at Hibernian in North Raleigh is another option. Every season game will be on the wide screens in the back bar with sound.
New England Patriots fans
During the NFL season, the New England Patriots Fans of North Carolina gather at the Brickhouse (3801 Hillsborough St, Raleigh) to cheer on the Pats. Featuring ten big 120″ projection screens that line the walls showing all the games, plus TVs behind the bar area, and TVs outside on their large outdoor full-service patio, this is a top spot for sports fans!
Philadelphia Eagles fans
There’s a large group of Eagles fans that meet up to watch the birds play at Woody’s Sports Tavern at City Market in downtown Raleigh. Eagles’ fans also gather at the North Street Beer Station in Glenwood South (the owner is an Eagles fan). And the Tri Eagles Fly group meets in Durham at the Tobacco Road Sports Cafe by the Bulls baseball stadium. They have a private room decorated with Philly sports memorabilia and also have a FREE weekly Eagles jersey giveaway!
Miami Dolphins fans
I don’t have a current update, but previously the Triangle Fins Club watches Miami Dolphins games at Woody’s Sports Tavern & Grill in Morrisville ( 3107 Grace Park Dr, Morrisville). The group was founded in 2021 and are based in Morrisville. Multiple TV’s and Woody’s are known for their mouthwatering wings, lunch specials, and fun atmosphere.
New Orleans Saints fans
The New Orleans Saints fans in Raleigh head to Sharky’s, one of the top neighborhood sports bars in Raleigh for over 30 years. One of the co-owners was born and bred in the Big Easy, which is reflected on their menu with Cajun cuisine, and is the only Saints bar in Raleigh.
Kansas City Chiefs fans
There is a KC Chiefs Fan Club of North Carolina, and currently they watch the chief’s games at Buffalo Brothers in Cary (address: 1289 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary). You can follow this fan group on Instagram too.
Buffalo Bills fans
The Buffalo Bills Backers of Raleigh watches the Bills games at Buffalo Brothers in Raleigh at the Capital Blvd location (address: 3111 Capital Blvd, Raleigh). Tailgates for Sunday 1:00 PM games from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the parking lot If you live in Garner, Shady’s has all the Bills games (address: 106 E. Main Street, Garner). And Walley’s Tavern in Holly Springs is a Buffalo Bills team bar on game day (address: 1110 Kentworth Drive, Holly Springs).
Denver Broncos fans
The Triangle Area Denver Broncos fans in the Triangle area go to Rookie’s Sports, Food & Spirits in Durham (4911 Central Park Dr). Featuring a low-key vibe with sports on 25 flat-screens, plus a lunch buffet, draft beer, pub grub and a patio.
Baltimore Ravens fans
The Baltimore Ravens Fan Club of North Carolina, also called The Triangles Nest, includes dozens of other Maryland transplants and Ravens fans, and they gather at Kickback Jack’s (1405 Garner Station Blvd) to watch games. Some Ravens fans have gathered at Tobacco Road Sports Cafe in Raleigh previous seasons.
New York Jets fans
The NC Jets Fan Club typically heads to the RallyPoint Sport Grill in Cary. Wild Wing Cafe in Brier Creek sometimes has a small group of Jets fans going there. And Bru’s Public House in Raleigh has also seen a few Jets fans.
San Francisco 49ers fans
The 49ers Faithful Group apparently have large watch parties at the Tobacco Road Sports Cafe in Durham (address: 280 S. Mangum Street, Durham).
Cleveland Browns fans
In 2026 the Raleigh Cleveland Browns Backers will meet up to watch the Browns games at The Balkan Table in Cary (address: 2425 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary). There will be signs and banners to guide everyone from the parking lot to the new location.
Las Vegas Raiders fans
The NC Raiders fan club has been around since 2012. I don’t have up to date information, but according to their Facebook page, last season they watched Raiders games at RallyPoint Sport Grill in Cary (837 Bass Pro Ln, Cary).
Dallas Cowboys fans
There is a Dallas Cowboys Fan Club Of Raleigh and they typically have watch parties at Kickback Jacks in Raleigh (1405 Garner Station Blvd, Raleigh). Join their Facebook group or Meetup Group for updates and more watch parties.
Green Bay Packers fans
There’s a Green Bay Packers Triangle Area Fan Club and they currently meet for every game to cheer loudly for the Pack at the Carolina Ale House in Brier Creek (7981 Skyland Ridge Pkwy, Raleigh).
NY Giants Fans
The NY Giants have a local fan club, Big Blue of the Carolinas. You have to join that group as a member to see their current updates about watch parties.
Washington Commanders fans
The Triangle Commanders Fan Club bleed “Burgundy and Gold” all year round, and according to that Facebook page they meet at Kraftys Pizza Pub in Garner (1177 Timber Drive East) and various other venues. Join that bgroup for current updates!
Carolina Panthers fans
The local Carolina Panthers fan club is called the Oak City Riot and according to their Instagram page they will be having watch parties at Tapyard (1610 Automotive Way, Raleigh). Being the local team, Panthers fans also tend to hang out at any Carolina Ale House.
Other Top Sports bars
Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar
The Brass Tap is where I watched most of the recent soccer World Cup games. With its industrial-chic look and large row of HD televisions behind the bar and other large TVs spaced throughout the premises, including out on their patio, The Brass Tap is a top spot to catch any sports. A bright and modern space in the heart of downtown Raleigh. They have an awesome list of 45 craft beers on tap, plus a full liquor bar, and an excellent bar food menu including burgers, pizza, wings, tacos, sandwiches, salads, a brunch and lunch menu, and their large buttery pretzels are a must order!
The Players Retreat
The Players Retreat is a Raleigh tradition and one of my favorite sports bars for any occasion, especially for anything NC State sports related being across the street from the university. It’s been a students and alumni hangout for over 70 years. Plenty of screens behind the bar, in the dining room, and outside on the patio. With a focus on hamburgers and sandwiches, they serve up some of the best burgers in Raleigh. They also boast the largest collection of single malts in North Carolina. NOTE: Kids eat here free on Sundays!
My Way Tavern
Located in the Glenwood South area of downtown Raleigh, My Way Tavern is a popular sports bar for all sports. The main focal point of the tavern is their horseshoe style bar from which you can enjoy 22 draft beers on tap (15 brewed in NC), in addition to more than 50 bottles and a fully stocked bar. Plenty of TV screen. Excellent bar style food – my pick is their fish & chips!
Yard House
One of the more upmarket Raleigh sports bars is located in the heart of the fantastic North Hills District. Yes, it’s a sports bar chain, but a far cry from, say, Applebees. Yard House is a well-known spot for NFL fans. The North Hills location is large, with TVs behind the bar and more screens positioned all around the restaurant with views from the high-top tables and booths. It’s family-friendly and a perfect place to gather with friends in North Hill for the game.
Sports & Social (Cary)
Located in Fenton in Cary, the huge two-story Sports & Social is a top spot to watch a game on the HUGE 42-foot LED display where guests can watch multiple games and sporting events at once. This is a fun place with arcade games including skee-ball, table tennis, shuffle puck, air hockey and a golf simulator. And, you can expect elevated food including made-from-scratch game-day favorites like wings, loaded nachos, and burgers.
Final thoughts
Whatever team you support, Raleigh has plenty of sports bars to watch any game no matter which team you follow. The beauty of Raleigh is that all teams are celebrated and there’s no hostility no matter where you go. As you can see from this list, many bars celebrate more than one team, so don’t be afraid to wear your jerseys and team’s colors with pride wherever you go!
Also, most sports bars have several large screens to take in all the games at once – and solid bar food to enjoy during the game. Thankfully, Raleigh offers a variety of venues for sports fans where you can root for your home NFL team and gather with fellow fans and immerse yourself in the excitement of the NFL season.
