Wrightsville Beach is recognized as the birthplace of surfing in North Carolina!

Wrightsville Beach is situated on a barrier island only 4-miles long and a couple of strides wide.

Raleigh to Wrightsville Beach is a 2-hour drive (132 miles) straight down I-40 E.
